​Diamond Lake was acquired over several years through donation and purchase between 1925 and 1938. Developed over time, the lake and adjacent parks were once considered to be little more than swampland.

 

At 81 acres, the delicate ecosystem of Diamond Lake Park provides habitat for a wide array of wildlife. The shallow 1,595 acre lake and surrounding wetlands and wooded areas are home to a variety of aquatic creatures and provide a needed respite for migratory waterfowl. Whether by canoe or snowshoe, Diamond Lake is a great spot to go birding anytime of year.
